1. Purpose of this Disclaimer

This Website Disclaimer applies to your use of the Clear to Practice mobile application, website at cleartopractice.com, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), provided by Clear to Practice, LLC ("we," "us," "our"), an Illinois limited liability company. This Disclaimer is incorporated by reference into, and should be read together with, our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Both documents are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, and the dispute-resolution process described in the Terms of Use applies to any dispute arising out of this Disclaimer to the extent permitted by law.

2. Educational content only — no professional advice

The Service provides study materials — including practice questions, clinical case simulations, flashcards, and related educational content (the "Content") — to help users prepare for the National Counselor Examination (NCE), National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE), ASWB Masters Examination, and ASWB Clinical Examination.

The Content is provided for educational and exam-preparation purposes only. Nothing in the Service constitutes, and should not be relied upon as, medical, clinical, therapeutic, legal, or licensure advice. Use of the Service does not create a counselor-client, therapist-client, supervisory, or any other professional relationship between you and Clear to Practice, LLC.

3. No guarantee of exam or licensure outcomes

We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in passing any examination or obtaining any license. Exam performance depends on factors outside our control, including your individual preparation, study habits, and circumstances on the day of the exam. We expressly disclaim any guarantee that use of the Service will cause you to pass the NCE, NCMHCE, ASWB Masters, ASWB Clinical, or any other examination.

4. No affiliation with licensing or certifying bodies

Clear to Practice, LLC is not endorsed by, affiliated with, sponsored by, or licensed by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), NASW, ACA, CACREP, CSWE, any state licensing board, or any other professional organization referenced in the Service. References to these organizations are for identification purposes only.

5. Content currency

We work to keep Content aligned with current published NBCC and ASWB content outlines, but these organizations periodically update their outlines, and a new outline may take effect before your exam date. We do not warrant that Content reflects the outline currently in effect at the time you use the Service. Confirm current exam content specifications directly with NBCC (nbcc.org) or ASWB (aswb.org), particularly if your exam date is more than a few months away.

6. Hours ledger is a self-maintained record

The Hours tab is a personal record-keeping tool. Entries are not verified, certified, or endorsed by Clear to Practice, LLC, and we do not certify hours on your behalf. Each state licensing board sets its own requirements for documenting and submitting supervised clinical hours; you are solely responsible for confirming that your records meet your board's requirements. We do not warrant that any state licensing board will accept the hours ledger in any form.

7. Not a substitute for clinical training

The Service is not a substitute for accredited graduate coursework, supervised clinical training, or any program required for licensure. It also does not constitute continuing education credit recognized by NBCC, ASWB, or any other accrediting body, unless expressly stated within the Service for a specific course or module.

8. No client or patient data

The Service is not designed to store Protected Health Information ("PHI") or information identifying any client or patient. Clear to Practice, LLC is not a HIPAA covered entity or business associate with respect to your professional practice, and we disclaim any obligation to comply with HIPAA or analogous state health-privacy laws in connection with your use of the Service.

9. Third-party links

The Service may link to third-party websites, including NBCC, ASWB, and other resources. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.

10. "As is" basis

The Service and its Content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Additional disclaimers and limitations of liability applicable to the Service are set out in our Terms of Use.

11. Intended users

The Service and its Content are intended for adults 18 years of age or older preparing for professional licensure examinations in the United States of America, consistent with the age requirement in our Terms of Use. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account or use the Service. Further, the Service and its Content are not directed to individuals located outside the United States.
